Founder of Crush Cancer First

My name is Richard (Richie) Marino,  and I am the Founder and CEO of Crush Cancer First. I am currently a Junior at La Salle College High School in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but began this mission over the summer of sophomore year. 

Growing up, I was raised to prioritize my faith and family. I was also taught the value of having a strong work ethic and being goal-oriented. All of these principles are part of who I am today, and are instilled in everything that I do. 

There was always a part of me that felt compelled to give back and support cancer patients . After all, they are the warriors who fight battles everyday, not by choice. As I navigated the development of this nonprofit, my "why" deepened as a close member of my family was diagnosed with cancer. I shifted my perspective and further leaned into this mission.

Today, I am happy to grow alongside of this mission where youth leaders can unite and support childhood cancer patients together.
